Transcript + notes + AI summary in one .md file. Your data, no lock-in.
Private by design
It’s your meeting. It stays your data.
No bots, no accounts, no telemetry. Pawscribe records the audio on your Mac — nothing joins the call, and other participants see nothing. Recordings are standard .m4a files in ~/Documents: open them in Finder, back them up, delete them anytime.
Cloud AI is opt-in. Bring your own key for Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, AWS Bedrock and more — or stay fully local with on-device Apple models and local Whisper. One “Never leave local” switch disables every cloud path at once for sensitive meetings.

Questions & answers
Is there a free trial? What happens when it ends?
Yes — a 14-day full-featured trial starts on first launch, no payment or account needed. When it expires, only new recordings are locked; everything you already recorded stays fully readable and exportable. And after purchase there’s a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Does a bot join my meetings? Will others know I’m recording?
No bot ever joins. Pawscribe captures the audio playing on your Mac plus your microphone, so it works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime — anything that makes sound. The menu bar icon doesn’t flash or broadcast “recording”, so screen shares stay clean. Please follow your local laws and company policy on recording consent.
Where is my data stored? Can AI providers see it?
Recordings are standard .m4a files in ~/Documents — no accounts, no telemetry, no proprietary formats. Cloud AI is opt-in: you bring your own API key, and the “Never leave local” switch cuts every cloud path at once. You can also stay fully local with on-device Apple models and local Whisper.
Which AI providers can I use?
Twelve, your choice: on-device Apple Foundation Models, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Azure, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Ollama, and more. Bring your own key — or use no cloud at all.
How accurate is transcription? What about accents and two languages?
Live captions run as you speak, and each audio track can be set to its own language — the other side in English, you in Chinese, for example. For maximum accuracy you can re-transcribe any meeting with local Whisper, and translate it to English in one click. Echo cancellation (the same WebRTC AEC3 used by Chrome and Google Meet) keeps your mic clean even on speakers.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. macOS 26+ is recommended for Apple Intelligence on-device summaries. Pawscribe asks for Screen Recording (to capture system audio) and Microphone permissions on first run.
Can I move my license to a new Mac? Does it work offline?
Yes — one Mac per license, with unlimited transfers: enter the same key on the new Mac and the old one deactivates within 7 days. After activation the app runs offline for up to 30 days at a time.
Never scramble for “what did we decide?” again.
