Refund Policy

TL;DR

14 days, no questions asked. Email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll process a full refund.
Try before you buy. The Software includes a free 14-day trial with full functionality. We strongly recommend you test it before purchasing.
Refunds processed by Paddle. Money is returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

1. Refund window

You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days from the date of your purchase, for any reason or no reason at all. After 14 days, refunds are available only in cases of material product defect or our material breach of the Terms of Service.

2. How to request a refund

To request a refund, do one of the following:

Recommended: Email [email protected] from the email address you used to purchase, with subject "Refund Request" and your order number (visible in the Paddle receipt email).
Or contact Paddle directly via the "Contact Seller" link in your purchase receipt.

You do not need to explain why. We may ask a single optional question to improve the product, but answering is voluntary and not a condition of the refund.

3. What gets refunded

Full purchase price, including any taxes that were collected.
Refunded to the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.). We cannot refund to a different card or account.
Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer; Paddle typically processes refunds within 1–2 business days, and the funds appear in your statement within 5–10 business days.

4. What happens to your license

Upon refund:

Your license key is deactivated within 24 hours of the refund being processed.
The Software on your Mac will revert to trial mode (or stop creating new recordings if the trial has already expired).
Your existing recordings and notes remain on your Mac and can still be opened and exported using the trial-mode app, which retains read and export functionality for previously created content.

5. Exceptions

Refunds are not available in the following limited cases:

Beyond 14 days from purchase, unless there is a material defect or our material breach.
License abuse: If your license has been deactivated or revoked for breach of the Terms of Service (such as sharing license keys publicly, attempting to circumvent activation, or running the Software on more than one active device by tampering with the device-transfer mechanism), refunds are not available.

6. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is unauthorized or incorrect, please email us first — we will refund eligible requests faster than a chargeback. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in your license being deactivated and your email being blacklisted from future purchases, but we will still honor a legitimate refund request through Paddle.

7. Trial recommendation

Because we offer a generous 14-day free trial with full functionality, including AI cloud features (when you supply your own API keys), we strongly encourage you to evaluate the Software before purchasing. This reduces refund traffic, helps us keep prices low, and ensures you only pay for software you've actually verified works for you.

8. EU / UK consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. By placing an order and beginning to download or use the Software within that period, you explicitly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your statutory withdrawal right may be reduced or waived under your local consumer law (e.g., Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU). However, our 14-day no-questions-asked refund policy above applies in all cases, and is at least as generous as your statutory right.

9. Disputes

If your refund request is denied and you believe the denial is incorrect, please escalate the matter to Paddle's customer support (linked in your purchase receipt). Paddle, as Merchant of Record, has final authority over the transaction and can override our decision in your favor.
